Service Projects 2001

Cub Scout Pack 922 has a history of Community Service Projects. These have been:

• Beautification Projects with Plants and Flowers
• Gift giving to families at Christmas time
• Reading to the elderly
• Scouting for Food Drive during Thanksgiving
• Memorial Day Flag Distribution at Green Hills Cemetery
• Replacing Basketballs and rims at Soleado Elementary School
• Purchasing new computer equipment for Soleado Elementary School
• Purchasing new American and California Flags for Soleado Elementary School

In keeping with this tradition, Pack 922 has the following Community Service Projects planned for the 2001 - 2002 School Year:

• New Pack Flag Pole and Stand
  • Pack 922 had donated a new American Flag, California Flag, flag poles and stands to Soleado Elementary School. We thank Soleado Elementary for allowing the Pack to meet in the cafeteria.
• Scouting for Food Drive during Thanksgiving
  • Pack 922 distributed collection bags and followed up collecting 309 pounds of food for the needy families in the local area. Thank you all for your support and contributions.
• Gift giving to families at Christmas time
  • All the Dens in Pack 922 provided much needed clothing, food and small appliances to five families in need this Holiday season. Thank you all for your generous donations.
• Sponsoring a Child
  • Pack 922 is working with the World Vision Organization in sponsoring a child for an entire year. This donation by the Pack supplies the child with much needed nutritious food, medical care and education.
  • Her name is Elida Kocerraj and she lives in Albania. Her birth day is January 3, 1992.
  
• Soleado Kindergarten Planting Project
  • Pack 922 planted avocado, orange, pear and apples trees, pansies in the Kindergarten area. We dug up a large area, added gown mulch and tilled it into the soil. The Kindergarten will be planting corn in this area.
• Memorial Day Flag Distribution at Green Hills Cemetery
